Soft minimalist design and elegant curves in a fresh take on a high-volume yacht within a compact framework.
Horizon Yachts proudly announces a major milestone with the arrival of FD80 Hull 15, the first FD80 to enter the European market, set to premiere at the Cannes and Monaco Yacht Shows later this year.
Celebrating the custom FD80 signature interior styling by Cor D. Rover, this motoryacht showcases a high-volume, soft minimalist interior that blends elegant materials and thoughtful layouts to create a serene and sophisticated onboard experience. With its distinctive curved motifs and refined finishes, FD80 Hull 15 perfectly underscores Horizon’s masterful ability to personalize yachts for discerning clients and offers a glimpse into the design and craftsmanship that have established the FD Series as a worldwide best-seller.
Timeless Skyline and Seamlessly Connected Living
The FD80 model presents a distinguished exterior profile marked by uninterrupted, full-height windows stretching along its length. Artfully angled horizontal lines create a sense of fluid motion, while subtle folds introduce shadow effects that enhance visual dimension. Hull 15’s bold anthracite grey radar mast immediately captures attention, a classic yet contemporary element that accentuates her sleek Skyline profile.
For exceptional entertaining, look to the main deck aft. The adaptable outdoor dining area includes a six-seater table and flexible furniture arrangements. Discreetly integrated into the design are double-drawer refrigerator/freezer units and an ice maker, offering convenient access to chilled refreshments. For added convenience, a Besenzoni hydraulic passerelle on the port side of the main deck aft extends up to 560cm, providing effortless and elegant access to docks and shore.
Expansive glass sliding doors create a seamless transition from the exterior, revealing an open-plan main deck within. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the salon and dining area adjoined to the galley, allowing abundant natural light to enter and enhance the sense of transparency and flow.
The contemporary interior design features gentle, curving lines. This motif of connection and comfort is echoed in the custom furniture pieces. Bleached teak and brushed gunmetal accents feature on various cabinetry, with some surfaces textured in appearance to enhance their visual interest. A central entertainment hub to starboard, which features an upgraded 65-inch TV, fosters a balanced blend of style and comfort and an inviting space for casual get-togethers and cozy movie nights.
The open-plan galley creates a sense of harmonious living, where culinary scents blend with the convivial sounds of shared meals. A central island counter, featuring three dining chairs, encourages casual dining and effortless engagement with the chef.
Staterooms in Style
With four ensuite staterooms, accommodation aboard FD80 Hull 15 is designed for ultra comfort and privacy. The centerpiece is the hallmark FD Series full-beam on-deck master stateroom in the bow. A wraparound curved headboard embraces the centrally positioned bed, which is surrounded by plenty of storage space. Forward, a state-of-the-art 65-inch The Frame TV adds a stylish focal point. Notably, the master head has been upgraded to specifications comparable to Horizon’s larger FD90 model and features a his-and-hers vanity.
Ascending from the main deck’s foyer to starboard, a stairwell encased in tempered glass with a brushed gunmetal frame leads to the bridge deck; descending offers an elevator-like transition to the lower guest accommodations. Here, three luxurious ensuite staterooms await, including port and starboard VIPs and a versatile forward VIP convertible from a V-berth to a comfortable double bed. A fully equipped laundry room, complete with a washer, dryer, and ironing board, completes the forward accommodation area.
Aft of the engine room housing the yacht’s twin MTU 1,600hp engines, crew quarters for four open aft to the beach club.
Always Sunny on Deck
Adding to the FD Series’ signature voluminous interior, the yacht offers generous and thoughtfully arranged deck areas. Forward of the enclosed wheelhouse — which features three helm chairs, L-shaped seating around a raised dinette, and a dayhead — the bow presents a U-shaped seating area ideal for alfresco dining, accompanied by welcoming sun pads.
An open design defines the bridge deck aft and Skylounge, merging them into a vibrant social area. An arc-shaped sofa faces an L-shaped teppanyaki bar, complete with a 43-inch fold-up TV and a wall-mounted wine cabinet, creating a natural flow from the wheelhouse to the bridge deck aft’s centerpiece: a centrally located Jacuzzi with its own bar. A four-seat lounge can be placed aft of the Jacuzzi in place of a tender, and optional awnings can shade the entire open-air space for added comfort.
