Playful and Free, Horizon PC65 'Pomboo'
The Horizon PC65 'Pomboo' is the first hull of the newest model in the Power Catamaran Series. It is the third Horizon power catamaran for her owners, who appreciate Horizon’s quality of yacht building as well as the important weight savings afforded by the yard’s patented, high-tech SCRIMP resin infusion process.
Pomboo is the largest yacht to date for these owners—who moved up from a PC52 and a PC60—and has been designed and built as the ultimate floating beach house for their cruising getaways.
Feedback from the owners’ experience with their PC52 and PC60 yachts inspired the design of Pomboo, a name that is a reference to the dolphin and symbolizes the owners’ passion for the ocean. The spacious salon is graced with an attractive overhead treatment of wave-pattern panels with a hi-gloss walnut panel that winds from either side of the ceiling to the entrance of the on-deck master. This design was inspired by the owner, who visualized the concept of water streaming into space. On the underlit cabinet in the master stateroom entryway, a sculpture of dolphins playing in the ocean gives nod to the yacht’s name.
Horizon gives great consideration to owner feedback and, when a request can be backed by Horizon’s own extensive expertise in interior design, construction, engineering and architecture, it is included. This flexibility with customization allows us to continuously build dream yachts for our clients and continue expanding our diverse series.
Bluewater cruising comfort is one of the hallmarks of the Horizon PC Series, and the new PC65 exemplifies that an owner can have the ideal vessel to enjoy the water with family and friends in luxurious comfort. Enjoy your next playful adventure, Pomboo!
