FD80 PARABOLIC Delivered

Bitcoin skeptics can’t deny this fact: cryptocurrency has afforded one savvy investor his first yacht. A brand new FD80 Skyline was recently delivered to her owner in a private ceremony.

Christened 'PARABOLIC' – a reference to the parabolic price movements of the cryptocurrency market – the new FD80 features an enclosed skylounge configuration and a four-stateroom layout.

The yacht’s voluminous interior is highlighted by light anegre wood with walnut accents, while expansive windows and a light ash flooring enhance the bright and airy feel. The main salon features a dayhead and seating area with an off-white leather sofa to port and a convertible dining table to starboard. The galley is situated forward to port and features privacy glass and a bar area and the spacious master stateroom is positioned forward. Two ensuite VIP and a convertible twin stateroom are found on the lower deck, along with crew quarters and a beach club.

Seizing the opportunity to acquire his new yacht during the construction process, the owner was able to make some customizations to the upper deck so as to accommodate two jet skis along with an inviting six-person Jacuzzi with counter seating and a bar area. He customized the enclosed skylounge to comprise the wheelhouse with twin helm chairs forward and an L-shaped seating area aft. He also worked with Horizon’s in-house design team and selected a bright and cheerful soft goods package with blue, green and coral hues complemented by decorative forms representing the ocean, earth, passion and geometry – all of which are intended to represent life’s infinite cycle peppered with the unexpected.

Perhaps symbolic of everything new and sometimes unexpected, 'PARABOLIC' represents an amalgamation of firsts for the new owner – his first yacht, first sea trials and first cruising experiences. Upon taking delivery, he plans to cruise The Bahamas. We are delighted to welcome him to the Horizon family.
