FD110 in build for repeat owner
Repeat clients are a strong testament to a yacht’s brand, and repeat clients who are also experienced in boat building bring knowledge and expertise that serve to drive a brand forward.
Such is the case of the new Horizon FD110, now in build for an experienced owner who custom-built the first tri-deck FD92 two years ago. After enjoying his custom FD92 and actively cruising with his family, the client decided to sell and build bigger.
The new FD110 will be the fifth hull of this length for the FD Series and the owners have requested some layout modifications to further suit their onboard lifestyle. Drawn to the additional interior and exterior space offered by this model, the owners specified built-in seating and dining on the aft deck, with interior dining positioned forward of the spacious salon. The full-beam master with his-and-hers en suites is situated furthest forward on the main deck, beyond the large galley that can be partitioned off from the dining and salon for privacy.
The interior design is now underway, and the owners have opted for oak in a satin finish with a high-gloss walnut trim as the main wood throughout. Subtle Art Deco elements and sunburst themes serve as additional design details, which will continue into the lower deck accommodations that comprise four staterooms and a laundry/storage room. One of the more significant layout changes to this yacht is the positioning of the crew quarters for six forward. This configuration allows for space aft of the engine room for a private beach club area with storage for dive gear and toys.
Like the owners’ former build, the new FD110 is also a tri-deck, and as such features a lightweight open flybridge with a wet bar and lounging alongside the helm station. An enclosed skylounge with a dayhead is situated aft of the wheelhouse, which can be open or closed from the guest areas as required. The boat deck aft will offer a full bar and seating, and the owners fully kitted out the foredeck with a Jacuzzi tub, plentiful seating and refrigeration and storage.
Now under construction, the new FD110 is on schedule to be delivered to her owners in the Spring of 2023. For more information please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
