The first fully accessible power catamaran in its size range featuring a multi-deck internal elevator will headline the Horizon Powercat showcase alongside a customized PC60.
Horizon Power Catamarans will present two highly customized builds at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, taking place October 28 through November 1. The display will be led by the world debut of the groundbreaking PC68A and joined by a brand new PC60. Both yachts will be available for viewing at Dock F, Slip 608.New Model Debut: PC68A
Purpose-built around independent mobility, the PC68A is the first power catamaran in its size range to feature a fully integrated, multi-deck internal elevator. Developed in collaboration with Horizon Group’s Vision Shipyard in Taiwan, the yacht represents a new approach to accessible design in which ease of movement is incorporated from the beginning rather than added as an accommodation.
“Designing for accessibility isn’t about adding features. It’s about removing obstacles before they’re ever encountered,” said Richard Ford, Founder and CEO of The Powercat Company.
Accessibility begins at the dock with a retractable boarding ramp, widened side boarding gates and a hydraulic hi-lo platform, providing five wheelchair-friendly boarding options. Automatic salon doors, level flooring and generous passageways create an uninterrupted transition throughout the main deck.
The centerpiece is the custom elevator connecting the master stateroom in the starboard hull, the main deck, and the flybridge and Portuguese Deck. Frameless glass doors preserve the yacht’s open interior, while an integrated rotating platform automatically aligns a wheelchair for comfortable entry and exit from either direction.
The galley, accommodations and owner’s suite have also been thoughtfully configured for independent use. Details include repositioned appliances, accessible storage and a purpose-built transfer platform in the master stateroom.

Beyond its accessibility innovations, the PC68A retains the volume, performance and long-range cruising capability associated with the PC68 platform. Horizon’s Silent Living Package combines a 1,600 amp-hour Victron battery bank with a Termodinamica air-conditioning system, supporting generator-free operation for up to 20 hours per day. Twin MAN i6 850-horsepower engines deliver a comfortable cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 25 knots.
Latest PC60 with On-Deck Master Layout
Displayed alongside the PC68A, the latest PC60 features a three-stateroom layout with a private forward master suite on the main deck, offering convenience and plentiful natural lighting. The spacious salon and galley flow directly onto the aft deck, where an outdoor bar and dining area create an inviting setting for entertaining.
The upper deck introduces another level of relaxation and versatility. Forward, the Portuguese Deck provides a private outdoor retreat, while the fully enclosed and air-conditioned skylounge creates a comfortable, all-weather living space. The skylounge incorporates the main helm station, twin pilot seats, lounge and dining areas, and a dedicated dayhead, with direct access to the Portuguese Deck forward and the boat deck aft.
This latest PC60 is powered by twin MAN i6 850-horsepower engines and features Horizon’s Victron-based Silent Living Package for quiet, efficient onboard operation.
Five-Stateroom PC68 on the Horizon
The PC68 platform will continue to evolve following FLIBS. Horizon Power Catamarans is currently preparing the first-ever five-stateroom PC68, scheduled to launch in January 2027 and debut at the 2027 Palm Beach International Boat Show. Additional details about this new configuration will be announced closer to its launch.
