Like an open book with the hand still writing, the “s” in the FD85s is purposely open to interpretation, its meaning guided by the owner’s vision. It can stand for “spectrum of possibilities,” “signature design,” or “serene living.” The “s” may also find meaning as “sport deck” or “split functionality,” ultimately reflecting a yacht crafted for adaptability and voyages without limits.
This FD85s includes several owner-specified features. As requested, the main deck aft has a convertible dining table that seats ten. Sliding glass doors connect to an aft-positioned galley that opens onto the deck, broadening the area for socializing. With an open-plan configuration, meal preparation, dining, and lounging zones flow seamlessly, giving guests room to circulate freely during gatherings.
Accommodation is arranged in a four-stateroom layout, including an on-deck, full-beam master suite and two VIPs amidships below deck, along with a versatile forward VIP with a V-berth that is convertible to a double bed. Two crew cabins, including a Captain’s cabin, are positioned aft of the engine room.
While it can be used for angling, the cockpit is designed with a broader focus on leisure, and there is abundant storage for water toys. A fold-down transom provides easy access for the owner’s grandchildren to swim and play, while a hot tub in the bow offers a relaxing change of setting. The boat deck has also been reinforced to accommodate a custom helipad.
