Horizon Sells FD87 Hull #12
Continuing the impressive sales streak that has defined Horizon’s successful FD Series, Horizon Yacht announces the recent sale of yet another FD87 motor yacht.
Specified as an inventory boat designed for the American market, this latest FD87 was in the early stages of construction when the sale was finalized, which gave the new owners the opportunity to customize the equipment, layout and interior design to suit their lifestyle.
Featuring a Skyline (enclosed bridge) configuration, an on-deck master stateroom, and three lower-deck staterooms, the new FD87 is the first Horizon yacht for the experienced American owners, who incorporated unique touches throughout. On the lower deck, the owners converted what would be the fourth stateroom into laundry and storage to accommodate long voyages. The main deck now accommodates a wet bar and large storage locker in the space normally occupied by a starboard staircase. A convertible dining table was also incorporated into this space for multi-functional use.
Highlighted by walnut woodwork in a satin finish, the FD87’s interior takes advantage of the copious amounts of natural light afforded by the large windows. A convertible dining table that can accommodate six or eight guests was commissioned for the main deck dining space. One deck above, the enclosed skylounge has been fitted with a sliding sunroof to incorporate alfresco flexibility.
In addition to commissioning a swim platform with a 2,000lb capacity, the owners specified a customized Garmin navigation system and Headhunter sanitary treatment system with a 1400GPD watermaker. Twin MTU 10V2000M96L engines of 1600hp each, bow and stern thrusters and Zero-Speed stabilizers augment the proven performance of the FD87’s High Performance Piercing Bow and hull design to ensure a well-rounded yacht that will facilitate plenty of enjoyable cruising experiences for the new owners.
